With this theoretical framework as a foundation, we will discuss the trainer's role in the adult learning process, as well as strategies for creating and delivering an enriching learning experience. The training also addresses common challenges and offers practical approaches for preventing issues before they arise. This training is required for all ITN and Registry Trainers.

This training will help you understand what competencies are and how they are integrated into the Illinois professional development system. You will explore resources, tools, and steps involved in the competency alignment process and will have the option of aligning a new or existing training of your own. Paths for submitting a training for competency approval will also be discussed along with relevant documents you may need.
