The Early Science Matters professional development program is a series of nine courses focusing on early science content and application in settings that provide care and education for young children. The Introduction will provide you with information regarding the importance early science skills and knowledge for young children, an overview of the major content areas in early science and an orientation to the Early Science Matters Professional Development series, as well as a tour of the many resources available on the Early Science Matters site.

In this course we will examine what curiosity and wonder are and how they can support children in all areas of early science.
