Online Learning Course Assistance
Please be aware that we cannot resolve or provide support for technical issues with your local computer, network or operating systems.
This page provides common troubleshooting practices, hardware requirements, software requirements, and additional information that can help make your online learning experience as successful as possible.
A basic knowledge of personal computers is expected of online learners. Limited assistance is available to resolve issues related to the learning software and course organization. Assistance is not available to explain basic computer skills such as saving documents, uploading documents, dragging and dropping files, etc. If you do not have a basic proficiency with computers, we encourage you to either find someone to assist you with the course or pursue face-to-face training. Computer skills tutorials are available online at: http://www.gcflearnfree.org/basic-computer-skills/

Mobile Training
Due to the wide variety of mobile devices and software, we cannot guarantee compatibility. We do not offer additional assistance for online learning on mobile devices.
Mobile compatible courses should work in your mobile device's default internet browser. If you do encounter issues, the following software might provide additional solutions. If these options do not help, try moving to a desktop or laptop computer.
While more and more courses are becoming mobile compatible, the best learning experience requires a larger screen than most smartphones or small tablets. We continue to recommend a desktop or laptop computer for all courses.Hardware
Hardware refers to the physical machinery and devices that make up a computer system, including the central processing unit, video card, sound card, monitor (visual display), keyboard and more.
The link below provides a list of the most important hardware requirements.
Software
Software refers to the various kinds of programs used to operate computers and related devices. It could include the operating system (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, etc.), internet browser (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.), word processors, file viewers, etc.
